Relational Maturity Revisited: Parent Pt. 4

Tennison & Ginelle Barry Season 3 Episode 16

Maturity stages build on each other.  They have a compounding effect.  You cannot fully complete any stage without having completed the one before it, so it's important to go back and check for gaps and work on getting those closed up, so you can more fully be who God created you to be in your current stage of life.

You will know you are at the parent stage when you can sacrificially care for your children or the next generation without resenting the sacrifice with joy or expecting to receive anything for your efforts.  You may feel exhausted or overwhelmed at times but you still will be able to appreciate, not begrudge, your sacrifice. The parent stage of maturity starts with the birth of your first child and goes until your youngest child becomes an Adult.

Join Tennison and Ginelle as they conclude their discussion on the parent stage of maturity.  People who are operating in this stage but have not fully matured in the 3 previous stages can cause incredible pain to the ones that they are caring for and  leading.  Most leaders that wound others have not fully matured in this stage as well.

Also, learn what you can do when/if you see or know someone who needs to grow in this stage of maturity. You don't want to miss this episode.
